Ekornes boss quits for retail job
Ekornes UK md Mike Haines has resigned and is to leave this week for a job in the retail sector.
Haines will be joining expanding chain Dwell.
'Ekornes is already well underway in the search for new md and will announce his successor in due course. Mike joined Ekornes as md in March 2009; his focus in the role meant that the Stressless brand has continued to gain market share and perform beyond industry expectations,' says a company statement.
'He has played a key role in improving the visibility and accessibility of the brand and leaves behind his strong retail values, which will remain a key company focus into 2012.'
