UK based flat packed contemporary furniture manufacturer requires a new product design engineer / product manager.

Location:  Rossendale, Lancashire (just north of Manchester)

Responsibilities and duties will include:

• Design ideas and input

• Full CAD drawings

• Taking initial concept sketches through to final production stage and creating full manufacturing drawings

• Product feature & safety testing

• Liaising with suppliers on cost and manufacture processes

The ideal candidate will have experience in this or similar industry and have a good understanding of manufacturing processes.  Key attributes will be enthusiasm for product development, be self-motivated, creative and have an ability to think around a problem. Good communication skills and commercial awareness are important to this role.

Salary to be discussed depending on experience.
