The continuing weakness of the economy has seen Adam Carpets cut its workforce by 8%.

The Kidderminster company has made six employees redundant across the firm.

'We very much regret these redundancies, which were, I am sorry to say, unavoidable, given continued weakness in the UK housing market and recent, more pessimistic, forecasts for the UK and Eurozone economies in 2012,' Chris Adam, Adam Carpets md told The Shuttle.
