Floors-2-Go snaps up Allied after it fails again
Allied Carpets has been bought by rival chain Floors-2-Go immediately after it again went into administration.
Floors-2-Go has bought Allied's nine stores and the Allied Carpets, General George and Weaver and Black names, saving 41 jobs. Dean Weston, who headed last year's mbo of the chain has left.
'We are pleased to have completed a going concern sale of the business which has resulted in the continued of operation of all 9 stores and saved 41 jobs,' says Geoff Bouchier, joint administrator.'
As part of the sale, Floors-2-Go will honour outstanding orders.
