Approximately 200 workers were sent home from the Steen’s Danish factory yesterday but the British subsidiary is operating as normal, according to staff at its Southampton office.

The company has cash flow problems brought on by the loss of two large foreign customers, according Danish newspaper Mja. It also blamed a new IT system which wasn't functioning correctly and had prevented invoices being sent out for more than two months.
