Brintons has moved to end months of speculation about its future, confirming that it is talks to sell some or all of the business.

‘Brintons confirms that it has received a number of offers from parties interested in making an investment in the business and has entered into a period of exclusivity with a preferred bidder,’ said Don Coates, Brintons md in a statement.

‘It is likely that it will be a number of weeks before any investment can be completed due to the time required to carry out legal and financial due diligence.

‘For reasons of confidentiality, no further information will be released.’
