The future of carpet manufacturer Brintons could be decided with days, rather than weeks Interiors Monthly has learned.

Talks between the family owned firm and its ‘preferred bidder’ were described as ‘very close’ and ‘going well’ by a source familiar with the negotiations.

The bidder has been reported as being US private-equity firm Carlyle Group, and that it will pay £38m, including Brinton’s £18m of bank loans.
