At Home stores perform for John Lewis

jlathomeJohn Lewis's at Home stores were its star performers last week, all delivering healthy sales rises, despite a drop in total home sales.

Chichester was the chain's second best performing branch, with sales up 28.6%. It was only out performed by the recently refurbished High Wycombe department store. Of the at Home stores it was followed by Newbury (27%), Chester (22.9%), Poole (21.4%) and Tunbridge Wells (6%).

The rises came despite a 0.2% drop in home sales. 'Sales in home were tougher, although textiles are worth highlighting as they had a strong week across all areas,' says Tim Harrison, John Lewis head of format development.

Overall sales rose by 6.9% to £68.76m in the week to 1 March, and 5.8% in the five week period.
