Organisers hail show success
The organisers of the Bed Show and Harrogate Flooring Show have hailed the success of the exhibitions in the face of economic challenges. The Bed Show grew in size by a fifth and visitor number grew by 10% while Harrogate Flooring Show saw the number of exhibitors rise from 128 to 144 as the size of the show grew by 400sqm and visitor numbers climbed to 3,205.
'Our second Bed Show was an even greater success than the first with an increase in both space, 20% bigger this year, and visitor numbers, up by 10%,’ says Jessica Alexander, National Bed Federation executive director Bed Show organiser.
‘The format of the show changed very little from the debut 2010 event. The concept is still a cost effective, focused, no frills event and it works. Held over two halls there was 70 exhibitors and over the two days more than 1,300 visited the event.
‘Feedback we have received so far is that those who exhibited were delighted with the level of business and number of enquiries they had at their stands.’ ‘We had a great show all in all, with numbers up in every area. More than 60% of space is already booked for next year,’ says David Wildman, Harrogate Flooring Show organiser.
