O’Flynn to succeed Huggins at Collins & Hayes
Upholstery maker Collins & Hayes has confirmed that Matt O'Flynn will become md when Martin Huggins retires.
No date has been set for the length of the handover between Huggins and O'Flynn, the former Meadowmead head of product development and sales, but it is expected to be before the end of the year, according to the Airsprung Group subsidiary.
O'Flynn left Meadomead, owner of the Henderson Russell, John Sankey and Barton Furniture brands in May.
'Matt has an extensive knowledge of the furniture industry in the UK and in particular fine upholstery. I know he will bring huge enthusiasm and design flair to the Collins & Hayes brand,' says Huggins.
'Leading a business with the heritage of Collins & Hayes is a fantastic opportunity and I am thrilled to be taking over the helm,' adds O'Flynn, who is vice-chairman of the British Furniture Manufacturers trade association and has been chairman of the Long Eaton Guild for four years.
