The Wool Room eyes expansion after Allergy UK green light

TWRBedding supplier The Wool Room is to look to expand its retail distribution after gaining the Allergy UK Seal of Approval.

The company sells its 100% wool collection, including bedding, mattress toppers cushions and throws, through its three stores, online and 12 other retailers.
'We are really excited to have received this approval from a respected organisation. Natural made products are always a better choice for those suffering from allergies and we firmly believe that wool can create a better living environment for everyone, helping them get a healthy night's sleep,' says Chris Tattersall, The Wool Room md.
'Wool has long been recognised as a fibre which helps to reduce exposure to allergens, by reducing house dust mites and other sources of allergens through its natural moisture management. Allergy UK scientifically tested the bedding to investigate these claims and we passed with flying colours. The Wool Room is now the only woollen bedding solution to have received the Allergy UK Seal of Approval and we are now actively seeking other retail outlets to sell our unique range of wool bedding.
'Best of all, because wool bedding is 100% effective in its natural state, there is no need for allergy sufferers to wash the bedding or use chemicals. House dust mites are unable to thrive in wool bedding.'
Dr Jean Emberlin, Allergy UK scientific director said: 'The wool bedding was tested by an independent internationally accredited testing laboratory according to Allergy UK's protocol. The wool bedding was found to give total elimination of house dust mites and fungi under the testing conditions. Allergy UK is pleased to award its Seal of Approval to the wool bedding.'
