Harrison Spinks named as bed manufacturer of the year
Harrison Spinks was named as Bed Manufacturer of the Year at the Bed Industry Awards last night.
This year’s Bed Manufacturer of the Year prize went to Harrison Spinks, a true leader in the sector and who, in the past 12 months, has seen further developments in its own internationally recognised, world leading spring technology in the pursuit of greater sleeping comfort.
Runners-up in a hotly contested category were Breasley Consumer Products and Kaymed UK. With strong entries, Breasley, which is celebrating 10 years in business, was praised for its achievement across the board, resulting in steady, sustainable and profitable growth. Kaymed was also a close runner up and deserved recognition for its innovation in thermal mattress technology, successfully supported by a well thought out trade and consumer marketing campaign.
Bed Component Supplier of the Year was John Cotton’s non-wovens division for its innovative, patented solutions to customers’ problems and its focus on tackling the challenges of the circular economy agenda and getting ahead of the game.
Praise was given to Deslee Clama which came highly commended in the category thanks to its impressive, internationally recognised, innovative design, creating products providing consumer benefits as well as solving issues for both manufacturers and retailers.
The awards were judged by Chris Edward-Thorne, Cabinet Maker editor; Richard de Melim, Furnishing Report editor; Paul Farley, Furniture News editor; Andrew Kidd, Interiors Monthly editor, Bernard Eaton, Greenwood Retail md and Jessica Alexander, NBF executive director.
