Home Décor reports rise in turnover
Sheffield based furniture manufacturer, Home Décor Ltd has revealed a slight rise in turnover.
The company, which is based in Sheffield, reported a small growth in revenue in its financial statement for the year ended 31 December 2014. Up 1% to £22.3m from £22m the previous year, while gross profit was up to £7m from £6.8m over the same period.
However, operating profit down by 67%, and it saw a decrease in profit after tax, down by 106%. Contributing to this downturn was the acquisition of Portico (Midlands) Ltd where all its assets were transferred to Home Décor. The purchase took place on 17 February 2014.
Home Décor has continued to expand its growing staff force by 16% on last year, creating 16 jobs, with the foreseeable future showing positive signs of growth.
A statement from the directors in the report revealed: “The directors are confident that measures have been put in place to ensure that the business will continue to enjoy a period of growth for the foreseeable future despite the current economic environment.”
