Jury reveals Innovations@Domotex selection

InnDomjury60 products have been selected to form the Innovations@Domotex showcase.

A jury headed by the noted German industrial designer Stefan Diez (pictured front centre) selected 60 products from the 123 entered. It will be the third year in a row that Innovations@Domotex has given selected Domotex exhibitors the opportunity to get ahead of the competition by giving their latest products added prominence and exposure by being shown in several display areas across the show.
This year, the jury made special mention of the increased interest in participating in Innovations@Domotex. ‘It’s not just that there have been more entries this year. We were also deeply impressed with the quality of the innovations submitted,’ remarked Diez. ‘We had the pleasure of assessing some truly exciting products. Some of them were beyond anything we had seen before, while others constituted innovative refinements of more familiar types of products.’
The great wealth and variety of the materials submitted had an electrifying effect on the jury’s discussions. A good deal of this energy also came from the varied viewpoints represented on the jury, whose members were drawn from such diverse disciplines as design, architecture, media and interior design. Together, they assessed the submitted products and solutions against the following criteria: relevance for the target group, technological innovation, design and quality.
‘The products that we selected for Innovations@Domotex merit special attention at the upcoming show,’ says jury member Richard Kille, Institute for Flooring and Interior Decoration. ‘They will be valuable a source of ideas, inspiration and solutions for the show’s visiting trade professionals and designers.’
