Deadline looms for Big Shots entries
There is less than two weeks to book places for this year’s Big Shots charity clay pigeon shooting day.
The Furniture Makers’ Company, the furnishing industry’s charity, is putting out a final call for teams to participate in its charity clay pigeon shoot, Big Shots.
Now in its 22nd year, the annual fundraiser, sponsored by Furniture Village, is taking place on Thursday 9 June and will again be held at the EJ Churchill Shooting Grounds, off the M40 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Entries must be received by 31 May.
‘Big Shots is a highlight for many people in the furnishing industry and as always we’d like to thank Furniture Village and all of our other sponsors. The support of the industry at events like these is really important to the Company – it enables us to educate young talent for the future, drive excellence and high standards for our industry and, of course, help people who have hit a tough time and need some assistance,’ says Ben Burbidge, Furniture Makers’ Company master.
‘Big Shots is perfect for entertaining clients and suppliers, meeting up with fellow industry colleagues or treating staff to an action-packed day out. Whether you’re an expert shot or a complete novice, all abilities are welcome and there are prizes for different levels.’
In addition to Furniture Village, other companies supporting the event include Blum, BrightHouse, Celtheath, JH Haskins, Knoll and Millbrook.
‘The work that The Furniture Makers’ Company does is vital to our industry’s ongoing success and Furniture Village is delighted to organise and sponsor Big Shots, which gets bigger and better every year. Whether you’re a first timer or a pro shooter, you’re guaranteed to have a great day out,’ says Charlie Harrison, Furniture Village director of marketing and Big Shots organiser.
Sponsorship opportunities are also still available. If you are interested in sponsoring the event or entering a team, contact Sally Kent at or telephone 020 7562 8526. A brochure and booking form are also available at www.furnituremakers.org.uk/big-shots
