Thursday confirmed for BHS online return
The Al Mana Group has confirmed that BHS will return on Thursday, as an etailer.
In June the Qatari company bought the BHS brand, BHS.com and the retailer’s international operations to form BHS International, after the chain went into administration in April.
‘We are nimble and efficient, but with a great brand, strong customer base and a proven and dedicated team,’ said David Anderson, BHS International md (pictured), who ran BHS’s international operations before its collapse.
He said it had advantages over a brand-new company, including a well-known brand and 1.2m former customers.
The website will sell about three-quarters of what BHS sold online previously, including bedroom, bathroom, cushion and lighting ranges. Lighting and home furnishing used to make up over 50% of BHS’s online revenue.
BHS.com will use a new website allowing shoppers to order much quicker.
Kitchen and diningware will be among the ranges to be added in the coming weeks.
