As you were: Brexit to make no difference to spending plans
The overwhelming majority of consumers will spend just as much on furniture and soft furnishings as they had planned before the EU referendum.
1,000 consumers were asked ‘To what extent has the outcome of the recent EU referendum impacted your intention to spend on furniture / home furnishings in the next 1-2 years?’ by research company Pragma on 25 September. The results have just been released.
Some 69% replied they would spend ‘about the same’, 10% ‘somewhat more’ and 3% ‘a lot more’. 12% said they would spend ‘somewhat less’ and 6% ‘a lot less’.
