Go that extra mile
Still looking for that elusive interiors Christmas gift that shows how much you care? Interiors Monthly may have found it for you.
No quick trip down the high street for this one though: it involves getting to the airport and going to Milan (unless you can get someone to get to Via Durini and then you might have to trust the Italian and UK postal services).
Porro has issued the limited edition Komorebi vase/candleholder by Piero Lissoni. ‘Changeable in the use, on one side candle-holder and on the other vase, it interprets the different aspects of light and nature trough the movement change of its function condition, determining their union and undoing their duality. Realised entirely in turned-wood, the choice of finishing revokes the juxtaposition between different shade of colours: the soft and warm tones of canaletto walnut and the cold and decisive ones of natural maple are alternated to lacquered rosso cina or denim interiors, while remaining perfectly in balance and harmony thanks to the aesthetic simplicity of Komorebi lines and shape,’ he says.
Komorebi will be available at the showroom until February.
