Axminster Carpets promises delivery improvements
Axminster Carpets is to introduce a named delivery day service.
From 9 June Axminster Carpets is to provided named day deliveries throughout the week as standard on all carpets and underlay. The cut off time for orders to be despatched the same day will also be extended to 2pm.
All mainland postcodes are included.
The change will mean that most orders will be delivered two days after placing the order, depending on location, and no in stock carpet will take longer than five days.
For non-stocked or custom carpets including made to order collections, Axminster will be able to advise stockists of a delivery date at point of order or once the production schedule has been agreed.
The company says this service improvement will not only help with the fitting schedule but significantly reduce delivery times.
‘This is a significant improvement in customer service. By knowing the exact delivery day for their carpets, our customers will not only be able to effectively plan fitting but be able to better support their customer when choosing a new carpet. In addition to this, for total peace of mind, each delivery will be tracked and traced every step of the journey from the factory to its destination,’ said Chantel-Leigh Summers, Axminster Carpets operations director.
The new distribution service will be provided by Rhys Davies Logistics, which has been providing a specialist carpet delivery service for over 10 years, using its specifically designed fleet and dedicated drivers.
