Entries open for the Bed Industry Awards

Bed Industry Awards logo 2017The National Bed Federation has opened entries for this year’s Bed Industry Awards.

Taking place at the Bed Show gala dinner for the seventh consecutive year, the Bed Industry Awards identify and reward retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and retailers in the bed sector who are ‘Best in Class’.
The awards consist of Bed Retailer of the Year (turnover over £5m); Bed Retailer of the Year (turnover under £5m); Bed Manufacturer of the Year (turnover over £10m); Bed Manufacturer of the Year (turnover under £10m); Component Supplier of the Year and Judges Choice Award.
‘The awards are a celebration of what’s good about the industry and provide a great opportunity for businesses of all shapes and sizes – from big brands to small niche players – to highlight their fantastic achievements,’ said Jessica Alexander, executive director of the NBF.
‘Over the years, we’ve lost some categories, added new ones and tweaked them to reflect the changing nature of the industry. What the judges are looking for is who has excelled themselves in the past year [mid 2016-mid 2017] and how they’ve done it – they want cold, hard facts that demonstrate and back up the entry. Good quality, clear entries are key.’
This year’s independent judging panel is made up of Peter Mallinson, AIS merchandise director – home; Roy Beagent, Minerva group business manager; Bernard Eaton, Greenwood Retail md; Richard de Melim, Furnishing Report editor and Alexander.
The awards will be announced at the dinner on 19 September.
