Balta trading gets off to steady start
The first hours of trading in Balta Group’s shares have seen a steady start.
A few minutes ago the shares were trading on the Euronext Brussels at €12.28, up €0.03 on its flotation price.
Shares fell to a low of €11.60 before peaking at €12.58 and then dipping back.
As required by Belgian law, shares were first offered to Belgian retail investors, who now own 8.9% of the shares offered.
Speaking before the shares began trading, Tom Debusschere, Balta Group ceo said: ‘We are delighted with the success of our initial public offering and would like to thank all existing and new investors for their confidence. Many investors, both institutional and retail, have chosen to support our strategy.
