Eve sees sales double as its looks at Next stage
Online mattress retailer eve has seen both UK and non-UK sales more than double in the past six months as it gears up for its Next phase of its bricks and mortar presence.
UK sales grew by 107% to £6.3m in the six months to 30 June. Non-UK sales rose by 153% to £5.2m.
By the end of the month it will have extended its presence in Next Home stores from three to 55. This will increase its physical footprint to 63, with space in eight Debenhams, Fenwicks and Bentalls branches.
‘Our successful IPO in May tops off what has been an outstanding first half for eve, with sales more than doubling in the UK and overseas. The monies raised will be used to support our rapid growth in the £26bn European sleep market,’ said Jas Bagniewski, eve ceo.
‘As the market continues its transition online, eve aims to fully capitalise with its simple and compelling customer proposition, which combined with a step up in marketing, is expected to drive increased brand awareness and market share gains from the traditional operators. We approach the future with confidence and look forward to delivering for all of our stakeholders.’
