Connection Retail looks to roll-out of third brand

Flooring retailer Connection Retail is increasing the range of products it offers customers at its Thurrock store as part of a roll-out of one of its brands.

By investing £15,000, Connection Retail has added  a third brand, Flooring Superstore, to its 5,565sqft store at Trade City Thurrock.

Sam Beale, Thurrock store manager explained: 'Flooring Superstore started life as a purely online business six years ago but it has grown rapidly, with four new bricks and mortar stores opening this year alone. We wanted to take advantage of this popularity by bringing Flooring Superstore into our existing store at Thurrock, meaning that as well as wood flooring and artificial grass, we can now also offer carpet and vinyl.'

'By uniting three high quality brands we are providing people with a one-stop-shop for all their flooring needs, reflecting the fact that householders are now likely to have multiple flooring choices inside and outside their home,' said Dan Foskett, Connection Retail md.

'It’s an exciting time for the business as we shift from being purely e-commerce to building our physical presence throughout 2018 and beyond and becoming a leading player in the retail flooring industry. We have been successful because we haven’t stood still and have diversified into other areas, such as providing the UK’s largest selection of artificial grass. Plus, we have been able to maintain our online pricing at our physical stores.

'Thurrock is the first of our older stores to now have all three flooring brands under one roof and we will be rolling this out to other stores throughout the rest of 2018.'
